Wastewater Purification Facility

Waste water formed in Koc University RF Campus are decharged after being biologically and physically purified according to the legal limitations. In the waste water purification facility managed by the management directorship, on a daily basis, 350 m3 of waste water is sent to the receiving environment after biological purification.

TOD Sustainability Applications

• On October 15, 2018, solar panels with 32.000 KWs/Year capacity placed on the roofs of newly-built lodging buildings were activated.
• The rain water is being collected and stored apart from the sewage system (3000 tons). It is being used in the garden-watering system.
• Garden watering is made by automated systems.
• By switching to LED armatures in lighting systems, lifetime of tools is prolonged and energy saving is ensured.
• In the purchase of household appliances, products high in energy-saving are preffered.
• The switching of newly-bought electrical engines with engines high in productivity.
